The train derailed due to a overheated and failed traction motor bearing on Loco #6447, near Biggar, Saskatchewan. The ensuing train wreck resulted in one death and numerous injuries. Via Loco #6447, along with some of the passenger cars, was retired because of its damage.
The models are Life-Like with Micro-Trains couplers, each has a Digitrax DN-121 decoder installed.
